Chef James has been in the culinary world for over 25 years. He earned his Associate Degree in Culinary Arts in 2006. He has worked with a variety of cuisines and in a wide variety of restaurants and breweries. James has had the great opportunity of working with many different classically trained chefs. He has also been a culinary consultant and catered many events, from weddings and banquets to farm to table style dinners.
Chef James joined the Jules' team in June 2021 and has been an integral part in transforming Jules' into a comfortable premiere dining experience on Bald Head Island. He has revamped the menu to offer more homemade dishes and southern comfort food items with a coastal flair. He is know for his 'scratch cooking' method. Chef James has appeared on the Cooking Network with G. Garvin's Road Trip, Best of the Midwest. He enjoys spending time fishing, experimenting with new food styles, listening to rock and roll music, collecting vintage cook books, and spending time with his girlfriend Cheryl and his faithful pup Pickles.
